Thomas Jefferson and the American Holy Grail. The Jefferson Ley Line.

Many debate whether Thomas Jefferson was a Mason or not. There are no official records that one can point to that confirms this. If you ask a Mason they will all respond that yes he was a brother. Further evidence suggests that he may have also been a York Rite Mason, Knights Templar Strict Observance as well as a member of the Beenan Order of the Bavarian Illuminati. One of his fellow members of that order was contemporary genius Alexander Von Humboldt. There are no definite records of these associations beyond the Book of the Holy Grail.

Jefferson and Von Humboldt were both members of the Linnean Society of London a naturalist group of which Charles Darwin would later be a member. Many of Jefferson’s actions, philosophies, and beliefs indicate a possible thread of truth to this story. The following facts may prove that Jefferson designed his country estate, Poplar Forest, as a veneration of the Dome of the Rock and intended it to function as an Axis Mundi in the Roman Tradition. The establishment of Axis and Templum may have been a tradition upheld by the Knights Templar.

One compelling piece of evidence that supports the notion of Jefferson being a Knights Templar Strict Observance is the “The Book of the Holy Grail” by Joseph of Arimathea. This book is said to have been written by Joseph at Rennes Le Chateau, Languedoc Rousillon region, France. Thomas Jefferson is said to have edited this book from French to English. Later in the mid-nineteenth century French minister to the United State Henry Mercier re-edited the book once more.

The contemporary edition of the book is accompanied by a forward to the book entitled “Keys to the Quest” by J.R. Ploughman. The book describes Joseph of Arimathea as Jesus’ father. This is very odd in that it is widely accepted that Joseph of Arimathea was a follower of Christ that donated his tomb for Christ. No other source names Joseph of Ariamethea as a blood relative of Jesus. This may be one of the many hidden clues left in the book.

The portion of the book that was said to be edited by Jefferson and Mercier is the original “Book of the Holy Grail.” This portion of the book contains what is said to be the Merovingian Bible as well as a description of an interesting “Grail Language” code that uses numerical sequences of specific numbers. This portion of the book is free of wild speculation and lore and is fairly cut and dried in a descriptive manner. Some examples of the Grail Language include numerical sequences that represent “Lapis Excellus” as well as the geomantic goddess Puella that has been associated with Jefferson in other research. Many believe this book to be a fake or a fabrication.

The book describes a religion in which God has a wife. It describes a pantheon of angels similar to what Paulian doctrine describes. One of the largest differences between this religion and that of the Vatican involves how Christ’s life is portrayed. The Book of the Holy Grail describes how Jesus did not die on the Cross and was not resurrected but lived and was spirited away to France where he fathered children. He was said too have lived eleven more years at Renne Le Chateau. His and Mary Magdelene’s children were the basis of the Merovingian bloodline that includes much of the Royalty of Europe. Joseph of Arimathea was said to have written the original Book of the Holy Grail (BOTHG) at Rennes Le Chateau.

One of the reason’s this book is dismissed as fantasy may be many of the outrageous claims made in the first and more modern part of the book written by J.R. Ploughman. Among many claims featured in the book is that of a kind of psychic Vampirism and the ability to access all of one’s ancestor’s memories by members of the order. Ploughman does use the word “Vampire.” This edition of the book was released in 1977 by then Grand Master Ploughman. He stated the order had “Failed to restore the wasteland” and that maybe revealing the secrets of the order would attract the people who were supposed to save it. Somewhat cryptic.

From another perspective it is a shame the book was not released with out the more modern portion of the book. This may be why the book is not taken seriously. Another view of the book is that it was intentionally made to seem untrue.

Among many of the more startling claims made by Ploughman is the fact that Joseph Smith, the founder of the Mormon religion and discoverer of the famous Golden Tablets of Mormon, was also a Knights Templar Strict Observance. From a tale seemingly right out of the Book of Enoch Joseph Smith found the Golden Tablets very close to a line created by the azimuth of the northwest facet of the pyramid of Giza. This geographic fact fits a pattern of religions similar to that of ancient Egypt being propagated along the azimuths suggested by the shape and orientation of the Great Pyramid. This tradition led to other places such as St. Peter’s square of the Vatican being used as a similar sighting device.

The obelisk at the center of St. Peter’s is surrounded by so called “windrose” markers. Each windrose marker is labled with a primary compass direction and region to which it points. This feature is a continuation of the older Roman tradition of an Axis Mundi that establishes directions and regions termed a Templum that are the domain of the group that established it. It is highly likely that Thomas Jefferson designed his county estate, Poplar Forest, as an octagonal Axis Mundi using the same tradition that had descended from the ages of ancient Egypt and Sumeria. In addition the plan of Poplar Forest resembles the Dome of the Rock on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.

If Jefferson was a Knights Templar it makes sense that he would be interested in the occult applications of cartography, architecture, and any other pursuit that utilized sacred geometry. The Knights Templar used templates to build buildings why not to navigate on a map? Jefferson was a professionally trained surveyor. The fact that Monticello sits precisely on the 38th parallel may not be a coincidence. Being aware of his place on the globe Jefferson realized this precise latitude coordinate was near where he was from and placed his home there. Thomas Jefferson’s father was also an accomplished surveyor.

The Knights Templar occupied the Temple Mount in Jerusalem for nearly two hundred years. The Dome of the Rock was constructed in 691-92 A.D. The Dome was on the Temple Mount during the Templars time there. It is possible that some of the “hidden information” that the Templars became privy to was gleaned from the structure of the Dome of the Rock itself. Some aspects of the Dome may have even caused the Templars to question the validity of The Roman Catholic Church itself. It turns out that the Muslim view of Christ is very similar to the Gnostic view of Christ. It is within the realm of possibility that the Dome of the Rock represents the Holy Grail itself.

First of all one of the inscriptions on the Dome of the Rock from the Koran reads:

"Such was Jesus son of Mary and peace upon him on the day of birth and on the day of death and on the day he is raised up again. It is a word of truth in which they doubt. It is not for God to take a son. Glory be to him when he decrees a thing he only says "be and it is." (Quran:19:33–35)

This verse from the Koran may have had an impact on the Templars. Many of the Reasons given for the later persecution of the Templars were actions that seemed disrespectful to Jesus and the Roman Catholic Church. This small clue fits in with the ethos and philosophy of the Cathars and other Gnostic or truth oriented Christian groups. The concept that Jesus was a man and did not ascend or rise on Easter is one of the main disputes between the Roman Church and other Christian’s. Were the Knights Templar still Christians who simply had a different value of Christ? Many speculate that Jefferson was even involved in the faith of Islam. While he may have studied and appreciated the Muslim faith nothing could be further from the truth. Jefferson was a deist that may have had a faith closer to that described in the Book of Mormon and the Book of the Holy Grail. He admired Islam for the Dome of the Rock and their view of Christ.

The Knights Templar value of the Dome of the Rock also may have hinged on the fact that they either knew or discovered that the octagonal plan of the building could be used as a giant map template that inferred important directions in its shape. The octagon could be used as a datum from which to measure along eight to sixteen fixed directions defined by the orientation of the building. It is known that the Cistercian Order of monks from which the Knights Templar sprang were aware of the concepts of geodesy and accurately measuring the earth long before the occupation of the Temple Mount. Undoubtedly Cistercian Monks were present along with the Knights during its occupation during the Crusades. The Cistercian Order also has a group that is termed "Strict Observance."

The plan of the Dome of the Rock more closely resembles a Byzantine design for Christian Churches. During the reign of Emperor Justinian I he was credited with the design and construction of the octagonal Church of San Vitale in Ravenna, Italy the original seat of the Roman Christian Church. Several other churches with octagonal plans were built during the rule of Justinian I. Later Templar churches seem to also be based on this design template. These facts are the reason that Thomas Jefferson used the plan of the Dome of the Rock to design and build his country Estate, Poplar Forest. Note: Ravenna is on the due north azimuth using the N windrose marker and the obelisk at the center of St. Peter's Square.

The Dome of the Rock is interesting in that it was built during the reign of Byzantine Emperor Justinian II named if not descended from Emperor Justinian I who ruled over a hundred years prior. Justinian I was the designer of the octagonal form of San Vitale and other octagonal churches. It is curious that even though Byzantium did not control the Holy Land at this time that a form created by a Christian emperor would be chosen for a Muslim Shrine. It is clear that by this date there was a definite form established for Moorish or Muslim architecture. These facts may be suggestive of some behind the scenes manipulation from Rome and Constantinople.

Using the SSW windrose marker in relation to the obelisk at the center of St. Peter's Square at the Vatican an azimuth can be created that leads right to the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem. Not only does this azimuth transect the globe right to the building of the Dome of the Rock the angle of the intersection appears to match the angle of the northeast facet of the structure! The Vatican points to the DOTR!

The cathedral in Aachen Germany, built by the first Holy Roman Emperor Charlemagne, has an octagonal element to its construction as well a a Moorish or Islamic influence in its architecture. It resembles what would later be termed a "Templar Church." Many elements of the interior of the cathedral resemble the style of the Dome of the Rock especially in the arches of the octagonal portion of the building. This cathedral is the location at which many of the German Monarchs and rulers of the Holy Roman Empire were crowned.

The cathedral in Aachen also aligns with a windrose marker and obelisk at the center of St. Peter's Square. St. Peter's Square points to Aachen. Other important Holy Roman Empire sites pointed to by the array at St. Peter's include Regensburg, Germany home of Holy Roman Emperors the Ottonian dynasty, and the Schloss Shonbrunn, in Vienna, Austira. The Schloss is the former home of the Hapsburg dynasty and onetime palace of the Holy Roman Empire. All are pointed to by the Array at St. Peter's. The Dome of the Rock and Aachen Cathedral are included in the Templum of the Vatican.

An odd story with a link to the Emperor Justinian II and later Holy Roman Empire ruler Charlemagne involves a gold nose that was used by Justinian to cover up a scar on his nose. Justinian is one of the few Roman ruler's to have been deposed and then later regain his Empire.

When Charlemagne's vault was opened by later rulers they placed a golden prosthetic nose onto the corpse of the long dead king. Charlemagne was left interred sitting upright on a throne in his vault with the famous book The Coronation Gospels placed on his lap One story has Holy Roman Emperor Otto III opening the vault in 1000AD to recover the codex. When Otto resealed the vault the golden prosthetic nose was said to have been placed to cover up the deterioration that had occurred to Charlemangne's corpse. This event also involved the removal of some other mysterious manuscipts from the vault at that time. Many scholars dispute the accuracy of this tale.

This is a strange image that must somehow link to Emperor Justinian II. Was the golden nose placed in this manner in veneration of Justinian II? Charlemagne also once had an original statue of Justinian I brought from Constantinople to Aachen. One theory with regard to this value of rulers Justinian by Charlemagne is the possibility that Charlemagne saw himself as blood descendant of these two other rulers. Is it possible that the Holy Roman Empire had more of a connection with the failed Byzantine Empire than the Empire of Rome and the Vatican? These facts may hint at such a hidden truth.

Thomas Jefferson's Octagon and Ley Lines.

Thomas Jefferson may have used his "Dome of the Rock" Poplar Forest to create his own Axis, Templum and associated Ley Lines. The Jefferson Ley Line is an intentional alignment of properties owned or created by Jefferson, two of which were owned by his good friends Barbour and James Madison. To the northeast the azimuth created at the Axis of Poplar Forest comes to within two miles of Monticello (If the line is moved to the structure of Monticello itself it still appears to match the facet of the octagon at Poplar Forest), Just west of Monticello is the Jefferson designed campus of the University of Virginia, next to the north is Barboursville Mansion (similar to Monticello but larger), James Madison’s estate Montpelier (not Jefferson designed) is next to the north very close to the line, and finally the City of Washington D.C. itself including the Mormon Temple just to the west of the Northern tip of the city.

Jefferson had an influential hand in the design of Washington D.C. and this alignment may be considered part of what he was trying to accomplish. To the north of the city other locations such as Columbia, Maryland and Druid Hill Park in Balitimore may have been placed in association with Jefferson's Ley Line.

Thomas Jefferson was a geomancer. Aligning structures in this manner is an ancient tradition that only the powerful and elite have the resources to execute. He created a ley line with talismanic implications. He placed talismans in the form of buildings he designed and those of his philosophical cohorts as well. James Madison’s home Montpelier is named for the capitol of the Languedoc Rousillon region of France as is the capitol of Vermont. This region of France is very important to Templar lore as this was the home of Jesus after he actually survived the crucifixion. Jefferson even designed the Virginia state capitol on a Roman temple in Nimes, Languedoc. The Virginia state flag is adorned with the goddess Athena who may represent the real namesake of that great state.

Thomas Jefferson was known to have traveled within twenty miles of Rennes Le Chateau. During one of his many trips to France Jefferson toured the newly constructed grand canal that linked the Mediterrainian to the Atlantic Ocean. This canal travels through the Languedoc Rousillon region of southern France. It was during his trip down the canal that Jefferson was in close proximity to Rennes Le Chateau. During this trip Jefferson wrote to his daughter that it was "Great to be in the land of corn, wine, and oil." A masonic reference.

The opposite or back azimuth of the northeasterly path described above trends to the southwest and also crosses some interesting sites. The southeastern azimuth shows examples of more modern structures that others placed on the line. This demonstrates how this system is known of in the modern world at some unknown level. This orientation creates a very precise alignment with a modern monument that has a strong talismanic presence in recent events. Directly located on this azimuth lays the controversial monument known as the Georgia Guidestones.

From plan view the Guidestones create an “X” shape on the ground. The line from Poplar Forest not only goes directly to the Guidestones but it mimics the angle of the northeast to southwest portion of the “X.” Two structures with thematic similarities located nearly three hundred miles apart whose structural elements match their position on the map. These buildings intentionally point to each other. The Georgia Guidestones were placed with respect to Thomas Jefferson and Poplar Forest.

Many speculate as to the reason the Guidestones were placed far out in the countryside where few could see them and appreciate their message. The Guidestones spatial relationship to Poplar Forest may explain all of this. Other clues that may confirm this include the stones location in a region knows as the “13 forks.” The address of the Guidestones continues a tradition of the rose themed names being associated with geomancy in that it is located at the intersection of Dewey Rose Lane and Guidestones rd.

As the Azimuth proceeds to the southwest at the same bearing it crosses just to the north of the site of what is known as the FEMA coffins in Madison, Georgia. This yard of literally hundreds of thousands of plastic burial vaults seems to fit the population reduction theme of the Guidestones. Their location in Madison (named for James Madison, fourth president) on the 33^rd minute of the 33^rd parallel on the Jefferson Ley Line indicates that the coffins are a talisman meant to be placed here. Note that Madison represents an intersection of the Jefferson Ley line created at Poplar Forest and a ley line created by the Octagonal fountain at the International Peace Garden on the border of the U.S. and Canada in N. Dakota. The Madison theme is repeated as Madison’s home Montpelier is also located on the line to the northeast of Poplar Forest. If the coffins are a warning or talisman then the use of a town with a presidents name may be also. Jefferson was a member of the Linnean Society of London, a group that during the nineteenth century espoused the practice of eugenics, as a viable means of controlling society. It is also doubtful that Jefferson or Madison would have subscribed to the modern form of this philosophy

The next Talisman to the southeast from the Georgia Guidestones on the line is another veneration of Thomas Jefferson. The town of Monticello, Georgia is located on the line. This town includes a central town plaza that includes and Egyptian style obelisk at its center that serves as a Civil War memorial. There is little doubt that this town was named such due to its unique spatial relationship to Jefferson's Monticello and its position on the Jeffrerson Ley Line. Just to the southwest of Monticello, Georgia lays Columbus, Georgia. Columbus may also represent a talisman on the line. Columbus is a reference to the District of Columbia and the Goddess Columbia (see Freemantv.com for goddess Columbia information).

The southwest azimuth from Poplar Forest meets the Gulf of Mexico at Santa Rosa Island, Florida. This is a repetition of the Rose theme. Santa Rosa Island is also the home to a very early failed Spanish settlement in 1517 that may represent the earliest settlement of N. America by Europeans.

So far there is one other pertinent azimuth created by Poplar Forest. Using the northeast facet of the octagon an azimuth is created that extends directly northwest to the middle of the octagonal fountain at the International Peace Garden on the Border of the U.S. and Canada.

This is an amazing correlation that relates to the legend of Swedish Knights Templar leaving an Axis Mundi at that spot as early as 1362. The fact that Jefferson’s octagon points here is significant and adds to the evidence that he was a Knights Templar. Also supporting this theory is the fact that the octagonal powder magazine in Williamsburg, Virginia also points to the site of the International Peace Garden. The Peace Garden seems to have been placed in the known spot of the Templar Axis from long ago and may be a well kept secret. Both the Powder Magazine and Poplar Forest were built long before the IPG indicating that something of importance was known to be located there long before the park was ever thought of.

All of the above evidence suggests that Jefferson was a geomancer. He created ley lines and talismanic monuments that had far greater meaning than known or told to the public. He and Madison held the correct position of authority and influence to make things happen. The creation of the Jefferson Ley Line is but one of the facets of his life that indicates there are many undiscovered aspects to his personality and philosophy. Other later generations were aware of his activities and still value placing talismans on his line. Jefferson was also aware of the geomantic and talismanic importance of the future sites of the International Peace Garden and Very Large Array in New Mexico. In fact Jefferson may have loved a geographic mystery so much that he may have personally created the Beale treasure legend.

Jefferson and the Knights Templar treasures of North America

Two of the most enduring treasure legends of Virginia include hidden knowledge and manuscripts hidden in what is known as “Bacon’s Vault” in Williamsburg, and the “The Beale Treasure” of Bedford, Virginia. Evidence suggests that both hidden treasure myths may have been created as clues to lead one to the real solution of the myths. Indeed both tales are designed to lead one to the Holy Grail as Thomas Jefferson defined it. In addition the strange tower known as the Newport Tower in Newport, Rhode Island may have been designed for the same purpose. All three of these structures are linked together through a geomantic function inferred by their octagonal plans and orientation with regard to true north.

Thomas Jefferson may have believed information that included the sacred geometrical concepts needed to solve this mystery is what comprised the Holy Grail in his belief system. It is possible he considered the grail to be information and not treasure. He may have learned this information by solving the mystery of Bacon’s vault himself while a student at William and Mary. Ultimately this information leads one to the truth about the origins and philosophies of the United States of America, an American Holy Grail so to speak. It is also remotely possible that actual, valuable treasure is located in association with these myths.

Bacon’s vault is an enduring myth of Williamsburg, Virginia involving hidden information and artifacts that were brought to the new world by Rosicrucian’s under the direction of Sir Francis Bacon himself. Adding to the mystery is the fact that Virginia may have actually been named for the Goddess Athena the spear shaker and not the Queen. The legend includes rumors that both Thomas Jefferson and president F.D.R. had visited the vault personally.

All of the controversy surrounding the vault myth was whipped into a frenzy in the early 1930’s when the Rockefeller family took a personal interest and investment in the restoration of the Colonial Capitol to its former glory. This was part of a trend of many Gnostic oriented investigations and developments that took place in the era of President F.D.R. that included the creation of the International Peace Garden on the Border of the U.S. and Canada.

The Bacon’s Vault myth does have some basis in fact as Bacon’s sister and her husband Bartholomew Gosnold were among the earliest of the Jamestown Colony’s inhabitants. Bacon is said to be the founder of the modern forms of Masonry and Rosicrucianism. Gosnold’s grave was recently excavated in Jamestown. His remains included a staff that resembles the rod of ptah of ancient Egypt leading many to speculate that some colonists were indeed Rosicrucian. The Rosicrucian’s as are many Orders are very secretive and do not share anything they may know of these matters. It is possible that they or later Mason’s actually created the myth of Bacon’s Vault in order to lead one to the real truth.

After some time the colonial capitol was moved from Jamestown to the site of present day Williamsburg due to its proximity to a larger supply of fresh water. The town of Williamsburg eventually came to include what may be the first linear park or plaza built by Europeans in the new world. Of course the hidden geomantic purpose of the alignment is hidden in occult and mystery school beliefs. The legend of Bacon’s vault may be meant to bolster an air of mystery and intrigue meant to lure those inclined to quest for the grail.

The west end of the alignment includes Wren Hall on the campus of the College of William and Mary. This building was said to have been designed by famous Freemason architect Sir Christopher Wren. Sir Wren is famous for redesigning London after one of the great fires that plagued the city. The east end of the alignment is defined by the location of the Colonial Capitol building. Many linear geomantic arrays include a crossing element somewhat like a medieval church. The crossing element in Williamsburg includes the Colonial Govenor’s mansion which has a topiary labyrith on its north side. The south side of the crossing element has a unique garden with some four square designs in their plan. This array crosses the main axis defined by Wren Hall and the Capitol at 90 degrees forming a cross shape.

Included in the main capitol array is a unique octagonal structure known as the Powder Magazine. The octagonal form of the magazine itself is also surrounded by an octagonal wall that is oriented exactly like the building is. This building saw use a church and livery at various times since its construction but was eventually turned to the task of an armory or magazine.

The Powder Magazine of Williamsburg may actually represent the hidden information that spawned the legend of Bacons Vault. Many geomantic sighting devices are hidden in the form of uniquely shaped buildings such as the octagon of the Powder Magazine. In the tradition of geomantic structures one of the directions inferred by the octagon of the Powder Magazine may represent the key to the hidden vault of information that was supposed to be hidden somewhere beneath Williamsburg. The myth of Bacon’s vault may have been created to lead one to the real clue held in its telling.

Future President Thomas Jefferson was a graduate of the College of William and Mary and lived in Williamsburg during that period. During his time at William and Mary Jefferson became a trained land surveyor and cartographer. While there he was a member of a secret club known as “The Flat Hat Club.” He also may have become a Freemason while at William and Mary.

It is entirely possible that during this time Jefferson became aware of the geomantic qualities of the octagonal Powder Magazine which is located very near the campus of the College. Being a Freemason Jefferson may have not been able or cared to share information which he deemed to important to reveal or share. This also may have led to the portion of the Bacon’s Vault myth that states he was one of the last to view the contents of the vault. The “hidden information” to found in “Bacon’s Vault” is comprised of the octagonal shape of the building itself.This is also interesting in light of the fact that president F.D.R. was also supposed to have seen the "vault." His name continually pops up in N. American grail research.

The northeast facet of the Powder Magazine can be used to create an azimuth that transects northwesterly to the middle of the octagonal fountain located at the International Peace Garden in North Dakota. The importance of this fact contains the keys to the quest in Jefferson’s version of the Holy Grail. The northeast azimuth created by the Powder Magazine creates an azimuth that leads directly to the Newport Tower in Rhode Island. The Newport Tower is inexorably linked to the Kensington Runestone. This is an amazing correlation that will become clear with a few more facts.

The Powder Magazine is not the only octagonal structure in the State of Virginia that may contain the hidden treasure of Bacon’s Vault. Thomas Jefferson’s octagonal estate Poplar Forest also was created in the tradition of the Axis Mundi as the Powder Magazine had been before and the Newport Tower before that. As in Williamsburg a local treasure myth may have everything to do with his estate and nothing to do with the actual treasure known as the Beale Treasure that is said to be located somewhere very near Poplar Forest.

The fact that both Poplar Forest and Williamsburg have treasure myths associated with them is an intentional clue as to what these octagonal structures represent. Poplar Forest in situated in the center of a region that has a treasure myth that has even attracted the likes of famous treasure hunter Mel Fischer. The Beale treasure has fascinated and frustrated treasure hunters since the myth became apparent in the late 1800’s.

The Beale Treasure myth includes a treasure that was found by Bedford, Virginia resident Thomas Jefferson Beale in New Mexico and subsequently stashed in a hidden vault somewhere near Bedford. Note that Bedford is only about eight miles from Thomas Jefferson’s Poplar Forest. The main clues in the Beale Treasure myth include clues that can only be deciphered using the United States Declaration of Independence that was written by Thomas Jefferson of Poplar Forest! A specific area of New Mexico seemed to have fascinated Jefferson and his friend and fellow Linnean Society of London member Alexander Von Humboldt. Their fascination for this region ties into this mystery and their influence still may dictate events in this region of the country today.

In light of Jefferson’s knowledge of surveying, geomancy, and the Declaration of Independance it is within the realm of possibility that he created the Beale Treasure myth for the same reasons the myth of Bacon’s Vault had been created. He may have built his house to contain directional information in the tradition of the Powder Magazine and the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem. Both treasure myths may have been created to lead the treasure hunter, or in this case, grail seeker to the same conclusion.

Using the northeast facet of both the octagon of Jefferson’s Poplar Forest and the Powder Magazine in Williamsburg a northwest trending azimuth can be created. From both octagons the azimuth created leads to the center of the octagonal fountain at the International Peace Garden on the Border of the U.S. and Canada in North Dakota and Manitoba. Both structures over 150 miles apart point to the same spot on the border of the U.S. and Canada! The IPG represents the intersection of lines vectored using the octagonal shape of the Powder Magazine and Poplar Forest. The Powder Magazine also points to the Newport Tower and its association with the Kensington Runestone. This is a sign from Jefferson and his forefathers that the grail is at the International Peace Garden.

All of these associations support the notion that the Georgia Guidestones were placed intentionally in relation to Jefferson’s Poplar Forest as part of this system. It is an additional talismanic clue. The Guidestones serve as another directional clue that ultimately leads one to the International Peace Garden and Kensington Runestone. In addition the “X” shaped plan of the Georgia Guidestones may fit into the model of the “hooked X” espoused by author Scott Wolter.

It is interesting that two octagons in Virginia point to an octagon so far away. “What is so important about the International Peace Garden (IPG)?” one may ask. The IPG may represent the first Axis Mundi left by any European in North America and was designed to claim North America for the group of men who established it. Subsequently three early American octagonal structures lend directional clues to the mystery. It is interesting that the Williamsburg array is the earliest official alignment and an element of its design points to the secret earlier Axis.

If one examines the sites of discovery of two famous stone artifacts found in Minnesota and N. Dakota the reasons for this value of the IPG may become apparent. The evidence indicates that the same band of Swedish Templars possibly accompanied by Cistercian monks performed a ceremony that established an Axis Mundi or claim to the seen world from that point. In short the IPG’s octagonal fountain can be used to create lines or azimuths that lead to the said site of discovery of both stones. Both the discovery sites of the Kensington Runestone and the so called Verendrye Runestone lie along azimuths created by the 135 and 225 degree azimuths inferred by the octagon at the park. The location of these stones in relation to where the IPG is today indicates that the octagonal fountain at the park represents an Axis Mundi that may have been left by Swedish Knights Templar as early as 1362.

The Kensington Runestone is dated to 1362 and this date is backed up by geologist Scott Wolter’s assessment of the stone. Wolter specializes in diagnosing the authenticity or rate of weathering of rock art and stone artifacts. It makes sense that this stone would have been left in alignment with an axis they had created to claim much of N. America for their order.

The tale of the Verendrye Runestone is more involved but fits the mystery as well. Many of the histories of the Verendrye stone include the fact that it was found somewhere in the environs of what is today Minot, North Dakota. Minot is located along the 225 degree azimuth suggested by the octagon of the Peace Garden. This would fit the model established by the site of discovery of the Kensington stone and support the fact that the IPG represents the Templar Axis. Two runestones found at even intervals or azimuths suggested by the octagon of the IPG.

Researcher Louis Buff Parry has been working on the “Pillowstone of Jacob mystery” for many years. Parry discovered a site in Saskatchewan that he believes the stone used to occupy. He identified a site that included a sandstone pillar with an alcove carved into it where the stone used to lay. This scenario matched the description of where the stone was said to have been found in Minot though Parry’s site is far to the west of Minot. What Parry found does resemble historic accounts of the site where the stone was originally discovered by the Verendrye Party n 1743. Parry’s site does not align with the octagon of the IPG.

Mr. Parry's site is very close to the U.S. and Canadian border at the 49th parallel. This is the same latitude as the IPG. The sandstone pillars in question seem to be only 10 to 15 miles north of the border. If someone were hiding the stone would such a specific geographic location be "close" enough to later guide one to the stone? Perhaps the location was determined by star sightings and had a small margin of error. That site is close enough to the latitude of the border for this to be considered. Both the location of the Kensington Runestone and the Verendrye stone are inferred in a geomantic array that includes Jefferson's Poplar Forest, The Newport Tower, The Williamsburg Powder Magazine and the International Peace Garden. Four octagons solve the mystery.

The location of Mr. Parry’s site does match the distance in French leagues (2.64 miles) that Verendrye described in his description of the discovery site to Swedish Botanist and Linnean Society of London member Pehr Kalm. The sandstone pillar that Mr. Parry believes the Verendrye party retrieved the stone from had a strange Hebrew inscription next to the alcove where the stone was originally. In Hebrew the word “Preston” was inscribed into the sandstone face of the pillar. This is pertinent to our story in that part of Parry’s theory involves the fact that this missing stone may represent the actual pillowstone of Jacob mentioned in the Bible as part of the story of Jacob’s Ladder. The tale of Jacob’s Ladder holds a special place in the mythos of Masonry representing the stairway or ladder to heaven. In the modern world many people call this a stargate or heaven’s gate.

Preston, England was the site of a battle between Jacobite, Scottish Masonic influences and England in which the Pillowstone of Jacob was used as a talisman in battle against the British. This is suggestive that the stone may have been stashed in Canada by the earlier Templars that had left the Kensington stone. The Jacobites may have retrieved the stone and brought it back to England at this time leaving the empty pillar alcove that Mr. Parry later found. The Chronology suggested by the date of construction of the Powder Magazine (ca. 1714) suggests that the location of the stone was known of by Governor Spotswood at least as early as that time. This date is long before the Jacobite revolution in Britain. (The above is the author’s theory and does not reflect the opinions or theories of Louis Buff Parry). Note also that there are also several other reported settlements of European people in this region of North America including the Prince Madoc Legend, and the Legend of Henry Sinclair.

Preston, England does have an even spatial relationship to the IPG. It is located on an even 45 degree azimuth true north that is suggested by the Northwest facet of the octagonal fountain. This is directly opposite or the back azimuth of the 225 degree angle that led to Minot pointed to by the octagon. Preston is pointed to by the octagon of the IPG just as the Kensington and Verendrye stone’s said discovery sites were. This could be the reason the word “Preston” was inscribed next to the stone and the reason why Minot was promoted as the actual discovery site of the stone. Thickening the mystery is the fact that the Verendrye party traveled to Minot on a separate expediton in 1739 that included them navigating first to the future site of the IPG and then at a 225 degree route to Minot. Minot and Preston are located on an azimuth or line defined by the position and orientation of the octagonal fountain at the IPG! One line connects Preston and Minot that also crosses the fountain at the IPG and matches the angle of the octagon’s facet.

If the International Peace Garden is an Axis Mundi left by Swedish Knights Templar in 1362 then the fact that both Jefferson’s Poplar Forest and the Powder Magazine in Williamsburg point to the center of the octagon there must support the notion that the site of the Park has some important significance to Thomas Jefferson and earlier interests in the Virginia Colony if not to the entire organization of American Freemasonry.

Both Poplar Forest (1806) and the Powder Magazine (1714 (1+7+1+4=13)) were constructed long before the Louisiana Purchase gave the U.S. control over the area these structures were oriented to point to. Really what is inferred here is that groups including the Mason’s and Rosicrucians may have been aware of the axis left by the Swedish Templars almost three centuries prior. In turn the treasure myths were propagated in order to lead one to the trail of evidence that would suggest the octagonal structures had some importance beyond a unique shape for a building. If this scheme is correct it would mean that the Kensington Runestone is indeed authentic and actually left at the date of 1362 that is inscribed on the stone.

Supporting this notion is the presence of a third octagonal structure that points the way to the Kensington Runestone just as the octagons in Williamsburg and Poplar Forest point to the IPG. In turn the IPG points the way to the Kensington Runestone also. This is the reason the Powder Magazine was oriented to point at the Newport Tower also. The Newport Tower in Newport, Rhode Island is a unique structure that resembles the remains of a Templar Church with a round turret based on the concept of the octagon. Today the Newport Tower is surrounded by an octagonal walkway whose facets match the construction attributes of the Tower itself. The northwest trending facet of the Powder Magazine in Colonial Williamsburg can be used to create a northeast trending azimuth that leads directly to the Newport Tower. This arrangement may suggest that the site of Jamestown and Williamsburg may have been selected due to it representation as a vector point between the Peace Garden Axis and the already existing Newport Tower.

The chronology of the construction of the the three octagons is Newport Tower; Date of construction unknown but appears on Veranzano’s late 16^th century map. The Powder Magazine of Williamsburg was constructed in 1714. Jefferson’s Poplar Forest began construction in 1806.

In his book “The Hooked X” Author Wolter describes how he identified a winter solstice event that uses the structure to point a line all the way to Kensington Minnesota and the site of the Kensington Runestone’s discovery.

It is becoming obvious that all three of these octagonal structures were designed to teach one the story of the early Knights Templar coming to North America in 1362. It indicates that the Kensington Runestone is authentic even though the Templars may have left clues through out the continent that resembled more ancient artifacts. All of this evidence combined supports the notion that something of great importance and significance is located at the site of the IPG. Three octagonal structures were intentionally placed and oriented to lead one to the International Peace Garden. This must have been what represented the Holy Grail to Thomas Jefferson and the builders of the Newport Tower and Powder Magazine.

The Templar Axis Mundi of the International Peace Garden.

According to the hidden messages of Thomas Jefferson, the builders of the Powder Magazine, and the builders of the Newport Tower the International Peace Garden (IPG) is a spot of supreme importance and talismanic significance. Given the dynamics of the entire sequence of events researched by Scott Wolter and Louis Buff Parry some value of this spot on the earth is of immense value to either the Knights Templar, Mason’s, or some unknown priest class that may hold sway over those groups.

Supporting this notion is the fact that the IPG is located at the east to west axis of the geographical center of North America. The official geographic center is about 45 miles south of the IPG in Rugby, North Dakota. The IPG is located on an elevated area surrounded by flat plains of grasslands making it a good point from which to survey the lands encompassed by the Axis and Templum these men may have created.

In an example of cross border Masonic cooperation the IPG was created in 1932 during what may have been a golden age of Masonic development in the United States. The lodge of the International Peace Garden has both Canadian and American elements. Part of the array of monuments at the International Peace Garden is a large auditorium built by the lodge that resembles the Masonic compass and square symbol. This building is located exactly one mile due south 180deg. True north from the octagonal axis of the IPG. A line drawn on the globe from the center of the fountain crosses the center of this building.

The Square and Compass building is included in the Templum as defined by the IPG. The orientation of this symbol can be used to create an azimuth that trends southeast directly to the octagonal Powder Magazine in Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia! This is interesting as the line that comes from the octagonal Powder Magazine to the IPG did not match an angle of the octagon at the garden but did point to the center of it. The auditorium was built to point back to the Powder Magazine in Williamsburg creating an array that points to and from each other! This is a directional clue that may prove that all of these structures were meant to lead you to the site of the International Peace Garden.

The Compass and Square shaped building is but one of many places of talismanic significance that are located with regard to the angles suggested by the facets of the octagonal axis of the IPG. Using the similar array at St. Peter’s square as a model the octagonal fountain at the IPG may have up to 16 important directions inferred in its plan. Indeed the IPG has at least one important site of talismanic importance arrayed along several of its rays and the possibility of many more not identified at this point. Many of the places along the lines of the axis are related to the early lore of the Knights Templar in North America. In addition to the Kensington and Verendrye runestones located on the 135 and 225 degree azimuth another important early Viking settlement is included on the 90 degree azimuth coming from the IPG.

The Viking settlement site at L’Anse aux Meadows, Newfoundland, Canada is located along the east trending azimuth from the peace garden. This site may date to as early as 1000 A.D. The fact that the templum in North Dakota may have been planned to include this site is not out of the question. The Maritime Region of Canada is the home to the Oak Island Money pit treasure. The Oak Island treasure site is not included in the IPG’s templum.

Another direction inferred by the Masonic Compass and Square shaped building creates an azimuth that points directly to Spirit Pond, Maine. Spirit Pond is the site of another disputed Runestone that geologist Scott Wolter feels may be authentic. The northernmost edge of he building or northern part of the compass portion of the design element of the building creates an azimuth that leads to Spirit Pond.

The evidence is mounting that many people early in the history of the United States knew the secret of the International Peace Garden. People like Jefferson, Madison, Washington, F.D.R., Alexander Von Humboldt, Governor Spotswood of Virginia, Governor Arnold of Rhode Island, and even possibly Joseph Smith.

Alternative Solutions to the mystery.

It is entirely possible that the mystery Louis Buff Parry has uncovered has absolutely nothing to do with the Kensington Runestone or the Verendrye stone said to have been found in Minot, North Dakota. The site that Parry found may have been a separate episode than that stated in the common history. Separate parties with similar values may have been aware of the existence of North America and kept it a secret among themselves. Each group may have established some sort of monument to mark the extent of their claim or simply to record the fact that they had been there not knowing other groups had done similar things. The location of the site Mr. Parry found does hint that somehow the local Native Band had been indoctrinated into a value of the stone in the pillar. The fact that the Shepard’s monument at the Shugborough Estate in England includes likenesses of sandstone pillars similar to the ones Mr. Parry found supports his theory.

The fact that some of artifacts that may have been replicas of items from ancient Egypt and the Book of Enoch were found in association with azimuths suggested by the Axis of the Peace Garden imply that they may have served as markers that established the boundaries of their land claim. This dynamic may be involved in the reason there are two supposed sites of discovery of the “Verendrye” stone or Pillowstone of Jacob. Could these stones have marked two different extents of property being claimed or perhaps the extent of separate claims by two different parties?

The fact that the Pillowstone of Jacob is an artifact that was mentioned in the story of Jacobs Ladder in the Bible and may be associated with Enoch of the Book of Enoch suggests a similar value of the same object or symbol of that object. If the Pillowstone of Jacob that once occupied the sandstone pillar in either Minot or Alberta is not the authentic Stone of Destiny it may have been a reproduction meant as a boundary marker that displayed the faith of those who had established the Templum of which the stone was a part. The fact that this location Mr. Parry identified appears to be only about six to eight miles north of the United States and Canada border may support the thesis that the site Parry found is associated with the possible Axis at the International Peace Garden. At no point in Mr. Parry's discussion or lectures is the exact spot or coordinates given for the site he discovered. The brief glimpses of maps that are displayed in the film "Lapis Exilllis" do not show the exact position of the Mr. Parry's site.

Regardless of the authenticity of this stone with regard to the Biblical story of the Pillowstone of Jacob it has come to revered and valued as if it had the same importance and qualities of the real stone. Manly P. Hall referred to this stone as the "Foundation Stone of America." In this way does it matter if it was the real stone or not? Might not the Holy Grail be the process one goes through in discovering the truth? Many skills and philosophies are learned and developed due to ones fascination with the stone. It is eminently possible that this mystery is the metaphorical treasure that was left for people to discover and value in many different ways.This is what Thomas Jefferson was trying to tell us.The American version of the Holy Grail is not an object but a philosophy that teaches one the true nature and history of the world.

The spatial relationship of these two sites may define an early form of a Lat/Long grid. Elements of both structures construction point to other sites of significance. Please see bottom of blog for larger photos.

Evidence suggests that the Tribe of Dan may have created Baalbek and used it as a datum from which to colonize and establish new cultures and religions. It is possible that the Tribe of Dan descended from the same Egyptian class that planned the locations of cities and towns as well as constructed the associated monuments and buildings. Each directional line created using the facets of the hexagon at Baalbek vector or point to significant cultural areas around the world: Ur, Uruk, Mumbai, Indian and Indonesian temples/pyramids, Mecca, Carthage, Adana/mag.N, Scandanavia, Baltic, North Magnetic pole, Seattle.

406.96 miles From tip of The Great Pyramid of Giza to the Hexagon of Baalbek @ 45.55 degrees TN. This creates a line from the tip of the Great Pyramid that meets with the N. tip of the hexagonal structure nearly perfectly matching the angle of the facet of the hexagon. The NW trending facet forms a line @ 315.55 deg. TN the facet creates a line at this angle that extends to the Lost Pyramid or Pyramid of Djedfre, Pisa Italy, and very near the pyramid in Memphis................Tennesee!!

The following is based on the directions the facets of the Great Pyramid pointing being NE45.55, SE135.55, SW225.55, and NW315.55 deg TN. These bearings are supported by the locations of other monuments on the Giza plateau including the Pyramid of Djedfre to the NW, The Serapeum near the Spinx, and the location of the entombed boat on the south side of the pyramid plus many more.

The Great Pyramid at Giza and the ruins at Baalbek are both monuments shrouded in mystery and the unknown. Theories as to the method of construction of both structures abound. At both locations stones so large were used they would be hard to move using the largest equipment available today. The Trilithon Stones at Baalbek are among the largest ever produced in the world. Modern engineers are baffled as to how the great edifice was constructed. Egyptologists consider the pyramids to be tombs and memorials of the Pharaohs who built them. Others believe the pyramids to be anything from landing ports for extraterrestrials to power generators from some as of yet unknown earth source.

Many theories exist with regard to some monuments facilitating a myriad of science fiction-like functions such as inter-dimensional and time travel. It appears that elements of these monuments construction may also point to places of importance. The pyramids are a lesson in construction and design and contain many sacred geometrical components. The Great Pyramid contains data or dimensions that record the number of days in the year and the circumference of the earth itself. The alignment of the three pyramids at Giza reflect the arrangement of Orion's belt. The concept of astrological procession caused by the slight wobbling of the Earth is recorded.

The Great Pyramid at Giza is also a sighting tool that leads the way to other sites that have equally impressive monuments that also were built with many clues left for later generations. This research may have proven that the Great Pyramid is the datum for the system of latitude and longitude we still use today. (see large photo at bottom of blog). This is logical given the widespread assumption that the pyramids were placed at the geographic center of the world.

The hexagonal structure in the ruins of Baalbek is also such a directional tool. Each facet of the hexagon vectors lines to some very significant sites including Mecca. A line formed by the angle and position of the southwest trending facet vectors directly to the Mecca Gate just west of the city. This is interesting in light of Baalbek's possible connection with the pyramids and the fact that the southwest trending facet of the Great Pyramid creates a line that leads to the Grand Mosuque in Mecca. As these monuments recorded the concept of the hypotenuse and Pi they also recorded sacred directions that may have had cultural significance similar to ley lines. The ancients seemed to value recording the directional information as much as the mathematic data. In turn the directional data took on the same occult and mysterious connotations as did the sacred geometry and design.

If viewed from plan the pyramid resembles a square with two diagonal intersecting lines extending from each corner meeting in the center like a large “X.” The Great Pyramid is oriented about .55 degrees east of being north-south.

If one uses the 45.55 degree or northeast trending facet of the pyramid to extend a line it leads directly to the hexagonal structure in the ruins of Baalbek, Lebanon at nearly exactly 407 miles. This angle and direction seems to lead precisely to the hexagon shaped structure at the eastern end of the complex at Baalbek and closely matches the position of the hexagon’s northeast facet tip. Chalk up an amazing feat of precision for the builders of the hexagon at Baalbek!

This suggests that the pyramids were built first and then hexagon at Baalbek was subsequently added in alignment with the pyramid. Evidence does support the fact that a sacred site existed at Baalbek previous to and at the time of the construction of the Great Pyramid at Giza. The hexagon appears to have been a Roman addition but may have been constructed by the Phoenicians. The same angle and line pass directly over the ancient Phoenician and Templar stronghold City of Tyre just a few hundred meters south of the hippodrome. (ley lines and sporting venues seem to still be associated with ley lines in the twenty-first century).

The spatial relationship between the Great Pyramid of Giza and Baalbek also seems to suggest established lines of latitude and longitude that are still used today. From the tip of the Great Pyramid to the hexagon at Baalbek is about 407 miles at the 45.55 degree angle that matches the northeast facet of the pyramid. Along this line approx. every 98.8miles establishes an absolute even point of latitude as still used today. Amazingly the lines of latitude are arranged on true north while Baalbek points the way to magnetic north! This relationship creates a 4x5 degree square of latitude and longitude. In the rectangle created by this relationship 412 miles is the hypotenuse of a rectangle of those dimensions. The distance from The Great Pyramid to Baalbek on the digital globe is 407. This is very close to the actual hypotenuse of that rectangle. Given that a huge section of sea lies between Baalbek and The Great Pyramid it is even more fascinating. The Egyptians may have used the hypotenuse to determine a basal 5 degree square of lat/long. The dimensions and distances are very close to being perfect when considering the the distances involved and mapping technology of this era.

It is not clear if the Egyptians, Romans, or Phoenicians designed this system. It is clear that the pyramids are the reference datum of this system. The Greeks were known for their mathematical knowledge and the establishment of a form of latitude and longitude. Knowledge of the hypotenuse may have been known by the Egyptians and handed to the Greeks via Hermetic traditions. The Sumerians could have developed the system also. The hexagonal structure may have been part of the latest phase of Roman construction dates it at about 63 B.C. Archaeological evidence does suggest that several other structures existed on the site prior to the construction of the ruins that are there now.

It is unknown if any of the previous temples had a hexagonal feature as an element of their construction. The fact that the structure was a like distance and bearing from the Great Pyramid is the most vital component. The aligning of the hexagon by a later culture is a form of talismanic veneration and recordation of a datum point on a world wide grid. With this said it is still remotely possible that some unknown ancient culture controlled Baalbek and created this system. It is far more likely that the Egyptians developed the grid based on their knowledge and construction of a vast array of temples and monuments in sacred forms. It was also necessary to have a reliable magnetic compass or extensive knowledge of use of the gnomon or shadow stick to form this baseline grid.

A well established knowledge of the sun’s movements and relative angle of shadow cast at disparite latitudes would be important for the gnomon to be of use. Given the Egyptians worship of the sun and skills in astronomy this method makes sense. This definition of latitude and longitude may have existed ever since the point in time that these two places were valued. It is not a coincidence that these two culturally significant structures had this spatial relationship. The pyramids and Baalbek may have been built each a component of this system. It is possible that the grid has been there since at least 3000 B.C. The existence of such a reference grid at such an early date may change some known historical data. If this spatial relationship was arranged and known of why wasn’t this concept a point of general knowledge in the ancient world? What other secrets are lurking?

The hexagonal structure could have been used as a datum in the creation of a larger hexagonal grid that could have been used to project lines of latitude oriented at true north over the globe. If a line is extended out from the angle of each facet for 412 miles with the tips connected a huge hexagon is delineated over the map. Since the north trending line is about 15 degrees off of true north it points right to magnetic north or very near. The northerly line points to the magnetic north pole. Identical hexagons can be placed on the map adjacent to the one created by Baalbek and used to calculate latitude and longitude for the entire globe. The fact that the pyramids are very near 30 deg. N latitude and Baalbek is so near 34 deg. N latitude is the key to this mystery.
This grid can be viewed as being composed of triangles with the original hexagon or six triangles being the datum for the entire globe. Along with the facets the cardinally aligned sides of the pyramid can be used to create lines also. Perhaps the Egyptians or Romans viewed the Earth as a icosahedronal shape composed of planar triangles or faceted hexagons. This crystalline structure fits tenets of earth energies theory that espouse lines of power along the facets of the under-structure of the globe (Tesla,Mary Hardy, Gridkeeper et. al.) Perhaps this has lent to the belief or actuality that places that are geomantically arrayed are capable of inter-dimensional travel or vorticies, communication, odd physical properties or many other things. It is also possible that the shape of this template is the archetype for all subsequent Templums as defined by Roman culture. The template being the hexagonal shape and the Templum being the actual area on the Earth. The system of using the template to create a templum also provides a crude map projection enabling relatively accurate mapping of the interior of the hexagon. Modern cartographers use all manner of templates to execute their craft. The origin of the word "template" itself may have descended from this concept.

At the Baalbek datum; If the line continues another 412 mi. at 45.55 degrees it ends up at 38 deg N latitude nearly exactly. Eight degrees of latitude couuld defined by two points about 412mi apart @ 45.55 deg TN. Further than 824 miles the difference in magnetic north makes the grid inaccurate. Beyond this point magnetic north changes enough to make the templum inaccurate. This method also serves as a form of map projection. This makes a map more accurate with regard to magnetic north in a given region. As with a real map projection there may be greater distortion the further from the projected center a point is measured.

Given the spatial relationship and cultural heredity it is possible that this was the method by which the Egyptians invented and measured lines of latitude. It is possible to extend the grid to obtain other points of even latitude.

This is amazing because:
1): The spatial relationship and distance displays the hypotenuse for a 5x4 degree rectangle of lat/long. These squares change size with movement from the north to south. This spatial relationship is special for this latitude.
2): This technique using Baalbek as a datum gives you true north lat/long coordinates even though you are using a triangular/hexagonal grid tool. The 824 mile wide hexagon may represent the dimensions of a Roman templum.
3): This proves the Egyptians had attained an accuracy in navigation that the Romans may have perfected long before recorded history deems this possible.

It is important to note that if the large 824mi diameter hexagon is moved to another datum that it must be oriented to magnetic north to work correctly. This geomantic arrangement suggests that the Egyptians may have had an accurate compass. They had developed a template they could move around from datum to datum. With nothing but a compass they could compute true north grid coordinates. They could start with a hexagon that was only two or four hundred yards in diameter and keep expanding it with just the compass or gnomon. This enabled them to draw relatively accurate large scale maps. Remember since the pyramids are the base datum this magnetic oriented hexagonal grid computes latitude in True North coordinates! From this it is possible to compute the difference to true north. This 824 mile diameter template may serve as the Roman model of the Templum or known world from a given point. The center of a Templum is known as the Axis Mundi or axis of the world in many cultures around the world. The Great Pyramid at Giza and the hexagon at Baalbek may work together to help define what latitude and longitude is. There had to be a reason Baalbek is at 34 degrees. The theory of this system also defines the Great Pyramid of Giza as the Axis Mundi of the entire world. Many famous monuments around the world beyond those noted here may align with this system in some way.

The grid the Romans or Phoenicians may have used was a hexagon composed of equilateral triangles and not square. The hexagonal portion of the system is designed to be used with a magnetic compass, not the true north orientation of the pyramids. It is interesting to note that Baalbek was shot in from the pyramids that are oriented to true north but the lines of latitude it calculates are oriented to true north!! They would have had to known the magnetic pole was not at the top of the earth. This implies that an accurate compass was available during this phase of history. It does not explain how ancient people such as the Egyptians or even the Romans knew about true north and the north pole under the Arctic Ocean. The difference in orientation of the Pyramids (true north) and Baalbek( magnetic north) show that they could have known the difference.

Another explaination of how the Egyptians new of true north involves the fact that they stumbled upon it by chance. It is within the realm of possibility that at the time of the pyramids construction that magnetic north was at the position of True north. As the pole wanders the true north pole is well within its possible range of movement. It could have been a fortuitous coincidence. As the pole changed through time the Egyptians may have geomantically valued the orientation of all subsequent structures to be square with the pyramids. This may have been a by product of already having established a grid in relation to these buildings that they did not want to change as magnetic north wandered and changed. The spatial arrangement of these two structures may represent one of the worlds first demarcations of a ley line with applied meaning and data. The angle of the hypotenuse infers true north. This specified significance goes beyond simple directional information and delves into the realm of complex data recordation and spiritual significance. Others such as Zecariah Sitchin have postulated a relationship between Egypt and the Sumerian/ Phoenician culture spheres.

Sitchin suggests the relationship between the pyramids and Baalbek is to demark a landing route for the alien Annuaki of Sumeria. This alignment and association support this theory. The association of the two sites could as easily be because of their use in defining the grid discussed here. The northern facet of the hexagon at Baalbek vectors to the Straits of Gibraltar via Carthage/Tunis, Algeria. Note also that the line that leads to the hexagon continues to the vicinity of Mt. Ararat, Turkey. The peak of Mt. Ararat lies at the exact latitude (range) as of the Mason Dixon line! It seems many ancient monuments are sighting tools that create lines others add monuments to later. Baalbek may have been considered the Axis Mundi Maximus (Grand Axis of the World)by Rome and may explain why generations of Egyptians, Sumerians, Cilicians, Babylonians, and Romans venerated this place. Note: The plans of Baalbek and Tiahuanaco in Peru are stunningly similar. This arrangement also supports the Graham Hancock/ Robert Bauval theory of the pyramids being aligned to the constellation Orion.

Additional Great Pyramid Geomantic relationships

The Lost Pyramid or Pyramid of Djedfre.

The Lost pyramid was said to have been built upon a hill so that the tip of the pyramid would be the same altitude as the Great Pyramid of Giza. This pyramid is located 5miles NW @ 315.55 deg TN from the tip of the Great Pyramid of Giza. The line created at this angle matchs the NW trending facet of The Great Pyramid and touches the southwest corner of the ruins of the the Lost Pyramid. This is an important spatial relationship that helps to support the idea that the Great Pyramid was oriented at .55 deg east of True North and helps to validate the intentional spatial relationships of sites found on the additional vectors created by the GPOG. The Lost Pyramid and the GPOG are also from the same era of anceiet Egyptian construction. There is evedence that suggests there are up to 16 important vectors associated with the Great Pyramid.

It appears that the Leaning Tower of Pisa is at nearly an exact 45.55 degree angle from the orientation of the Great Pyramid of Giza. The tower lies at 315.56 degrees from the tip of the Great Pyramid closely matching the angle of a line created from its northwest trending facet (315.55deg-just 1/100th of a degree over a great distance). This is fascinating in light of the Pisa's location in the region of Etruscan civilization which may have been, ultimately, an extension of the Egyptian and Phoenician ruling class (see Daniel Tatman’s blog and interview on Red Ice radio). This is especially interesting to the study of Geomancy via the thoughts and actions of Thomas Jefferson who was a known admirer of the Etruscan Culture. The baptistry at the church is named for St. John. The Duomo as well as the tower were constructed during the era after the most of the great Cathedrals of Europe had been already constructed.

Pyramid Arena, Memphis, Tenn., USA

Another structure that seems to have been intentionally placed on a line extending from the NW facet of the Great Pyramid of Giza is the Memphis, Tennesee Pyramid Arena. If one follows the line to the United States it comes to the Pyramid Arena/building in Memphis, Tennessee @ 315.44 degrees and appears to match the northeast facet of that building. True this angle does not match the exact angle of the facet. Despite this fact the odds are high that the builders of the pyramid were aware of its spatial relationship to the Great Pyramid.

The symbology of a pyramid in a city named after an Egyptian City of antiquity is lost on few. The inspiration for the Pyramid Arena is said to have come from a man who actually spent the night in the Great Pyramid of Giza. These are but a few outrageous examples. The lines cross Crete, Greece, Europe and many other places in the U.S. that may have been placed in relation to these lines.

Alexandria, Stonehenge, Port Said.

A close examination of the Nile Delta region of Egypt reveals another geomantic array of interest. This array again uses the Great Pyramid at Giza as its datum or starting point. Using the tip of the pyramid extend a line to the location of the ancient lighthouse of Alexandria,

Egypt and then extend the line to the British Isles at the same bearing. This line leads exactly to the middle of the ring at Stonehenge. Stonehenge was constructed during the same time frame as the Great Pyramid. This linear connection suggests an actual link between the two far away cultures.Also start at Stonehenge and vector back to the Great Pyramid and see Alexandria between. The site of the old lighthouse in Alexandria is almost exactly 110 miles from the tip of the Great Pyramid. This alignment suggests that it is possible that the builders of Stonehenge were aware of its orientation in relation to the Pyramids and Alexandria, Egypt. The design and plan of Stonehenge may also be used as a vectoring tool in addition to its use as an astrological observatory. Some of the stones in the outer circle at Stonehenge seem to match the intersection of the line from the Great Pyramid.

If another line is vectored from the tip of the Great Pyramid to Port Said, Egypt it matches the compliment and distance of the angle to Alexandria. The distance from the tip of the Great Pyramid to Port Said is 110 miles-the same distance to Alexandria. Port Said is the northern entrance/terminus of the Suez Canal. If continued this line leads almost precisely to Mount Nemrut, Turkey. This site is an impressive shrine by a Persian King to a number of regional deities. Each of the deities venerated there reflects Egyptian religion. It is also the site of a large Kurghan or Burial Mound. Again this suggests that the complex at Nemrut Dag was built to intentionally be aligned with Port Said (which undoubtedly has ancient significance also)and the Great Pyramid.

These two alignments when displayed with the 45.55 degree angle vectors created by the facets of the pyramid are lower angles that are tilted slightly to the west compared to those projected using the pyramids facets which are aligned north to south. These alignments when viewed on a map show a graphic representation of this information. In the relatively modern age it took years of compass and magnetic readings from all over the world to figure out the difference between magnetic and grid north. Here is proof the Egyptians may have figured it out by the third dynasty ca. 2600 B.C.! The Pyramids of Egypt are truly amazing structures.

The precision of the way the hexagon and facet of the Great Pyramid match would be difficult with the most modern GPS equipment and map projections. This is another engineering feat equal to that of the construction of the monuments themselves.

Mt. Ararat, Turkey is part of the alignment of Baalbek and the Great Pyramid at Giza. The peak of Mt. Ararat is also at the same latitude of the Mason Dixon Line in the United States. The marking of the Mason Dixon Line in the U.S. was to tie North America into the already existing Baalbek/Pyramid grid. This would have been important for many practical and occult reasons. It gave a direct reference point to Europe (Fatima, Portugal etc.) and established a ley line with the oldest pedigree possible in North America for the first time.

The south trending line created by the hexagon vectors directly to Mecca, Saudi Arabia, the holy city of Islam. The western trending line from the hexagon goes nearly exactly to Carthage. The southeast trending line from the hexagon goes to Ur and the rest of Mesopotamia, Mumbai, India, and on to a pyramidal shrine-rich area in Indonesia. The northeast trending line goes to Mt. Ararat then proceeds to Astana, Kazakhstan. Astana is the home to the Palace of Peace and Concordance Pyramid and one of the most impressive modern geomantic arrays in the world. The line intersects here with a pyramid that is part of that array.

The Baalbek Vectors and the Tribe of Dan.

Many sources imply that The Tribe of Dan were responsible for the original creation of Baalbek as a site of spiritual significance. The establishment of Baalbek as a northern alternative to Solomon’s Temple in Jerusalem is one theory as to why Baalbek became a valued location. As discussed previously the ruins of Baalbek and The Great Pyramid of Giza align relatively precisely at a 45.55 angle that seems to match the northeast trending facet of the Great Pyramid and the southwest trending facet of the hexagonal portion of the Baalbek ruins. The orientation of both structures match even though they are 407 miles apart! This spatial relationship may define the hypotenuse of a 4(lat) X 5(long) cell of an early form of the latitude and longitude grid.

The Tribe of Dan gave pertinence to the location of Baalbek long before the buildings that now lie in ruins were built. They may have been the group of people that selected the location partially based on the fact that it aligned with the northeast trending facet of the Great Pyramid of Giza. This fits many theories that have the tribes of Israel descendant of Egypt. There is evidence that cultural ties existed between the region of Byblos and Egypt. This relationship involved ceremonies dated as far back as 3000 BCE that displayed and emphasized the similarities between Egyptian faith and the practice of Baal worship. Some facts even suggest that Egypt may have played the role of missionary or creator of this faith and culture. In turn The Tribe of Dan may have taken on this mantle of moving from place to place while creating and preserving a culture sphere and faith similar to that of Egypt.

Baalbek may have been the Axis Mundi or starting point of their quest to colonize the world with belief systems similar to that of Egypt yet tailored to each region. This may be the reason why the facets of the hexagonal structure later created by the Phoenicians or Romans can be used to create lines to many significant cultures and religious regions. The north trending facet of the hexagon creates a line that vectors at 345.55 degrees TN. Each facet of the Great Pyramid of Giza and the Hexagon (hexagram?) at Baalbek vectors a line to a significant cultural area that includes some of the grandest temples on the planet. If one examines these lines and what is located in close proximity (if not right on them) a thesis that infers the Great Pyramid and Hexagon of Baalbek are directional devices meant to provide a roadmap to colonize the world with similar theology and culture. Egypt may have been the root culture of the entire scheme.

The 345.55 degree line (The Line of Dan) proceeds on its northward track and transects just west of Adana, Turkey. To the southwest of Adana lies Tarsus, the home of Saint Paul. These two cites are located in an area of two river delta systems that intermingle and change course over the Cilician plain. Through the track of history these two cities identities have become intermingled and references to one or the other may mean the same location. This region is referred to as Cilicia in the era of Caanan, Babylon, Sumeria, etc.

The interesting aspect of Adana’s location so near to the exact location of the line is the possible meaning of the name of the city itself. It doesn’t take a trained linguist to see that this city may have been named for the Tribe of Dan. A-Dan-a or of the Tribe of Dan. Biblical accounts of the Tribe of Dan have them conquering a city known as Laish after leaving the homeland of Dan what is today Israel. Many historians agree that Laish was indeed what is today known as Adana. The practice of Baal worship was known to have been common in this region long after it had ceased in nearby areas.

The southeastern trending line that can be created by using the hexagon of Baalbek transects the earths surface @ 45.55 degrees. This line includes the caldera of Nemrut Volcano near Lake Van - the great salt lake of Turkey. This region is said to be home to the race or tribe that created that the cultures of Egypt and Mesopotamia.

The tribe of Dan in turn may have descended from the class of Egyptians that created their culture and more specifically the arrangement of cities, towns, infrastructure and monuments in a prescribed pattern or order. This may be representative of a culture that see's no boundaries and values the entire earth as their domain. Is it possible that the hexagonal structure in the ruins of Baalbek is the Axis Mundi Maximus of the Tribe of Dan? Is the tribe of Dan descendant of the true power base of Egypt.? All of these assumptions are based on cultural information and the directions the Great Pyramid of Giza and the hexagon of Baalbek point. Even if the exact angles discussed here are not precise any variation places these lines so close that the above is hard to deny.

These alignments seem to be intentional linkages of talismanic ideas. This has been happening for over 5,000 years if the standard history timeline is correct. There are too many modern arrays aligned with the old ones for this not to be some type of continuing activity. In fact a clear chronology exists throughout history of this system being steadily added to and modified. Many different facets of history may be re-examined in the light of this discovery. This is an amazing cultural phenomena that has gone unnoticed by history and society for literally ages.

The concept of ley lines consisting of alignments of monuments is later echoed in the establishment and settlement of the United States. Thomas Jefferson aligned both of his estates with the northwest boundary of Washington D.C. Jefferson may have delineated in plan a large pyramid around Washington D.C. using the city limits and the latitude of Rose Hill, Md. The original square city plan of D.C. is easy to imagine as a pyramid from plan view. Many state capitols have mantic arrangements of monuments that vector to locations of talismanic importance. Jefferson’s admiration of the Etruscans and Druids may have led him to his value of these alignments.

The capitol mall in Sacramento, California vectors to the Very Large Array of radio telescopes which are on the exact latitude of Baalbek! The National Mall in Washington D.C. also points a line to this facility. The cult of Pythagorias and the the age of reason philosophy valued Baalbek and Baal worship as a form of protest. What is Nashville and Sacramento saying? Was the VLA placed in relation to both the 34th parallel and the line from Sacramento? It is talismanic. It means something we aren’t supposed to know. Another amazing geomantic association is present in Sacramento. If one vectors a line from the northwest trending facet of the pyramid of the Sun in Teotihuacan, Mexico the line seems to lead directly to the pyramid building in Sacramento, California. Yet another example of modern people valuing the ancients.

Is it possible that these alignments and monuments were more involved in the development of cities and towns than has been revealed before? (Yes). The United States is a unique example of a place in which those that believe could arrange a whole new as of yet undefined geomantic landscape of their own design. Other groups saw the need to tie it into the old one and establish their geomantic base in America based on the old system.

We have just seen how it is possible that even the Egyptians and Sumerians may have been able to accurately navigate and divide property right from the beginning of recorded history. Logic would suggest that the existence of these lines effected development of sites that were intentionally situated on them. If you and only a few of your associates were aware of these facts they could be manipulated and parlayed into a massive amount of exclusive wealth and information.

If you were responsible for the placement of a town on a line would not you ensure its success? If your town was not on a line was it successful? What public resources are used to maintain this system beyond the knowledge of the general public? The fact that these types of alignments and monuments are still being built and arranged today infers that even in the modern world there is a group of very powerful people working away at this strange grid of occult power. Placement of specific objects of monuments on the lines must hold talismanic meaning to those that believe in the power of the lines.

Baalbeck ,as other positively charged places, had subsequent monuments or cities placed in alignment with the facets of the octagon. Iskinderun, Republic of Turkey is almost directly north of Baalbeck. Iskinderun was once known as Alexandria. The Egyptian name for Alexandria is Al Iskanderia. The later placement of the Georgia Guidestones, The Very Large Array, and JPL were all most likely placed on the 34th parallel intentionally. It is not clear if this is a form of historical respect or an outright veneration of a valued theology.

The imagery of Baalbeck as well as the pantheon of Roman and Phoenician gods that were worshipped there is not out of place in more recent intellectual circles. Some value the ancient religions as a way of taunting what they perceive as the limitations of the traditional faiths and accompanying brainwashing dogma. Those who value rational thought eschew religious brainwashing and are made heritics as a result. Baalbeck's alignment with the Great Pyamid and Mt. Ararat is no coincidence and can be viewed as a form of tribute or value of the ancient culture as well as a practical directional tool.

Baalbek, The Georgia Guidestones, Very Large Array may form an intentional alignment near the 34th parallel. .The ruins of Baalbeck are situated at almost exactly 34 degrees N latitude (34"00'24"N). This is nearly the exact latitude of the Georgia Guide stones (34"13'23"N), The Very Large Array radio telescope(s) in New Mexico (South end exactly 34 degrees), the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena (34"11') and Los Angeles . This line of Latitude is marked in Los Angeles by the southern extent (in that area) of Thomas Jefferson's township grid. The Georgia Guide stones are part of no less than three other ley lines of note that include the International Peace Garden, both of Jefferson's homes and the northern tip/northwest boundaries of Washington D.C. The creators of the Guide stones must have been aware that its location represented this intersection. The Guide stones inclusion on the 34th parallel of Baalbek is an important association that links it with ideals of ancient technology and "age of reason" political values.

The Very Large Array Radio telescope sits exactly on the 34th parallel. This large equal "Y" shaped array forms a nice equilateral triangle if all the end points are connected. The southernmost tip of the triangle sits exactly of the 34th. This symbol is considered by some to be the occult symbol of power. The triangle is tilted about five degrees to the east making this corner the only one exactly on the 34th parallel. Again this may not be a coincidence. This facility is run by SETI or the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence. Large dish shaped radio telescopes are shuttled about on railroad tracks in the desolate New Mexico desert. This facility was featured in the movie Contact starring Jodie Foster which coincidentally involved the concept of inter-dimensional travel. The similarity of this organizations name to the Egyptian god Set is obvious.

The Jet Propulsion Laboratory was founded by Jack Parsons who is rumored to have been heavily involved esoteric majic and the occult. Parsons is known to have been a member of the same occult group (OTO) as Alistair Crowley and Ron L. Hubbard. Hubbard is more known for founding the Church of Scientology. Crowley openly thought of himself as the antichrist and "the most evil man in the world." JPL was the forerunner of NASA but still exists as a separate entity today. It is entirely within the realm of possibility that Parsons and others at JPL were aware of the significance of the 34th and valued its association with Baalbek, Lebanon. As an appreciator of gnostic and occult wisdom Parson's would have valued this latitude and the mantic energy beamed there from Baalbeck. As a practical scientist he may have believed in a higher intelligence different from that taught by a strictly Christian theology as well as embracing ancient forms of religion as a form of protest of the percieved dogma of traditional religions.

Many scoff at the idea that modern scientists would be so superstitious. In examining the state of science, even throughout the twentieth century, it is impossible to ignore the occult beliefs and values of some scientists. It is plain to see in their symbols and talismans. Any gnostic order of excellence like the Priory of Scion in the Da Vinci Code, may have modern adherents that are involved with JPL, NASA, and SETI. There is some evidence that such a group actually exists. Scientists evolved from alchemists and mystics that evolved from early developed cultures such as the Sumerians and Egyptians. There is still a distant echo of this philosophy in many modern scientists and rational thinkers in the twenty-first century.

Phi Beta Kappa an academic fraternal organization was founded at the Raleigh Tavern in 1775. The Raleigh Tavern was also the home of the "infant"; a silver punch bowl that used Blackbeards skull as an element of its construction.

Williamsburg, Virginia is truly a town steeped in American history that was one of the early colonial capitols. Virginia once encompassed much of the American south and territory west of the Appalachian Mountains. For a short time Jamestown was the capitol. Bartholomew Gosnold was an early official who may have been one of the earliest geomancers in America. Gosnold was married to Sir Francis Bacon’s sister and was known to always carry a staff with a pewter finial or decorative knob on the end of it that may have represented the gnomon or staff of an Augur or Geomancer. The use of a staff of this type may go as far back as the Egyptian staff or rod of Petah (see photos at right).

Gosnold’s grave along with the finial or knob of his gnomon were recently discovered at Jamestown. This tradition of augery may have descended from the Egyptians and Sumerians to the Lydians, Etruscans, Phoenicians, Romans, Royalty of Europe, and finally the United States. Gosnold may have been the first in a long string of Americans to practice this ancient craft in North America.

Lengends and myths swirl around Bacon including one that involves him being the bastard son of Queen Elizabeth I. Some feel he may have been given a caveat from the Queen to establish the Jamestown Company due to this relation. Jamestown may have been the first founding step towards a Baconian vision of Atlantis in North America. It is no coincidence that Francis Bacon’s brother-in-law may have been the Augur of the Jamestown Colony. Gosnold was buried just outside the pallisade of the early Jamestown Colony. His place of burial in relation to the layout of the fort inside may have had some geomantic implications and may have been considered the axis mundi of the Jamestown Colony.

Well known Freemason and student of occult authorityJohn Dee, Francis Bacon is said to have had an early, secretive role in the establishment of the Jamestown Company. Many cling to legends of Bacon bringing the actual Holy Grail to America. (The grail may still be stored in Rose Hill, Md. see additional chapter). The capitol of the now Virginia Colony was moved to Williamsburg and soon after the College of William and Mary was established. The common explaination for the naming of Virginia is for Queen Elizabeth. Alternately the colony was named for Palais Athena the goddess of virgins. Palais Athena is venerated by many gnostic and Masonic groups and Athena adorns the flag of Virginia to this day.

William and Mary would be considered the oldest college in America if the first incarnation of it had not burned in an early confrontation with Native Americans. Harvard is considered the first college in America due to this little known fact. William and Mary does have the distinction as the birthplace of the academic Greek organization Phi Beta Kappa. William and Mary also has the distinction of having three U.S. presidents as alumni and is the school from which George Washington received his surveying credentials and was once Chancellor of. William and Mary was likely the breeding ground for the Masonic ideals and philosophy that helped to spark the American Revolution. Many sons of the landed aristocracy of the south attended William and Mary. Harvards location near Boston was also a flash point of patriotism and Masonic principles in colonial America.

Phi Beta Kappa was formed or created in 1775 in a the original Raleigh Tavern near the campus of William and Mary at a time when only men attended. It is said that the founding members were all Freemasons that attended the college. This was long after Thomas Jefferson’s attendance at the college. Though Masons claim he was a Mason the only group that Jefferson is a proven known member of at William and Mary is the little known Flat Hat Club that may or may not still exist at the school. Is the Flat Hat Club the "Skull and Bones" of Williamsburg? Later Jefferson became the member of scientific societies and groups that may have had some occult beliefs. The era of the mid 1770’s seems to be a banner for the creation of Masonic and occult oriented philosophies and Groups.

Freemason architect Sir Christopher Wren's designs inspired what is now the oldest building of any college in America. Wren was a known Freemason and many look to his designs for Masonic and occult sacred geometrical formulae. Christopher Wren could be considered a geomancer. As any architect he concerned himself with the comfort and practicality of his structures. As a geomancer he would have also been concerned with making the building the correct sacred and significant proportions for desired effect. Geomancers sometimes construct environments meant to elicit a certain or given response. Some may be geomancers and not even realize it!

For an indication as to the degree gnosticism and the occult were involved in the daily life of early Williamsburg one need look no further than the design of the Williamsburg Gallows. From plan view the gallows were triangular measuring 11 feet per side. It is speculated that the gallows were also 13 feet in height. The dimensions of each side of the triangle added is 33; a significant number in the occult and one that seems to sometimes be associated with executions and death. The number eleven is the occult number of chaos and also seems to have some esoteric importance. Historical illustrations of the Gallows show them being three vertically set posts with cross-members attaching them at the top.

The gallows are famous as the site of the hanging of Blackbeard the Pirate’s crew. Blackbeard was captured near Okracoke Island of the Outer Banks of North Carolina. In what may be mis-interpreted as a ceremonial sacrifice Blackbeard was beheaded on the spot soon after his capture. His crew was brought to the colonial capitol of Williamsburg for trial and execution. Illustrations of the crew’s hanging include depictions of the gallows themselves and the large crowd that attended what was considered a festive event of the day. The illustrations show onlookers drinking bottles of wine and snacking on turkey legs during the event.

Sometime in March of 1719 thirteen of Blackbeard’s crew met a grisly end on the gallows of Williamsburg. 13 men executed on a triangular gallows 11 feet on a side totaling 33 feet. In pictures of the reproduction of the gallows in Williamsburg they appear to be about 13 feet in height. After execution the head of a pirate was placed on a pike at the river entrances of the York, and Potomac Rivers on the western side of the Chesapeake Bay. This route up the Chesapeake Bay was traveled extensively in this era and was an approach to Baltimore and Annapolis. The occult numbers associated with the gallows and this particular event are interesting when viewed from the perspective that many pirates were thought to be men who were brothers of gnostic oriented organizations. Many have speculated that Blackbeard himself was a member of such a group. It seems in this era that everyone from Blackbeard to Thomas Jefferson were involved with gnostic oriented brotherhoods.

The obvious occult overtones of the design of the gallows in both the historical record and its triangular shape and dimensions may shock many who were unaware of the prevalence of this philosophy in early America. Indeed the spatial orientation of objects in a geomantic perspective is no more obvious in the capture of Blackbeard and the subsequent execution of his crew. Someone intentionally used shapes and numbers of occult significance to create an instrument of not only death but execution. Could this be interpreted as human sacrifice given the occult overtones?

After Blackbeards subsequent caputure and execution. The English then proceeded to Hampton, Virginia and placed the pirates head on a pike at the entrance to Hampton harbor. The entrance to Hampton harbor is situated nearly perfectly on the 37th parallel. Placement of Blackbeard’s head at this location on the latitude and longitude grid may have had talismanic implications and intent. This location is known as Blackbeard’s Point to this day. The sequence of Blackbeards capture, beheading, treatment of his skull and other factors point to the possibilty that the entire chain of events had occult, talismanic overtones and implications.

The story of Blackbeards skull is a strange tale with many different aspects. Several reputable and reliable sources have maintained that after a few years Blackbeards skull was removed from the harbor entrance and fashioned into a silver mounted drinking cup. Pulblisher John F. Watson states: “skull was made into the bottom part of a very large punch bowl, called the infant, which was being used as a drinking vessel at the Raleigh tavern in Williamsburg. It was enlarged with silver, or silver plated; and I have seen those whose forefathers have spoken of their drinking punch from it, with a silver ladle appurtenant to that bowl.”

Given the timeline related to Blackbeards beheading and the crews hanging it is remotely possible that Thomas Jefferson,George Washington, and many other prominent early Virginians/Americans drank from this vessel. Even more shocking is the idea that this behaviour was somehow acceptable in this era of Williamsburg in the same tavern at which the academic fraternity of Phi Beta Kappa was later founded by ten men all Freemasons. It is possible given Phi Beta Kappas founding over fifty years after Blackbeards capture that no members drank from the skull of Blackbeard. Given that the founding members of Phi Beta Kappa were all Freemasons it is well within the realm of possibility that the skull was there for occult, gnostic oriented purposes. The Death Cult veneration of the human skull is said to require the skull of your enemy to worship. To someone with Death Cult values worshipping and drinking from the skull of Blackbeard the Pirate in the colonial capitol of Williamsburg must have held some strange, talismanic purpose. Many attribute the worshiping of the skull of your enemy to great success in many different realms.

Historian John Esten Cooke in his book Virginia claims that the cup was still in use as late as 1913. Esten also alludes to skulls use as drinking vessels dates back to ancient times and refers to sources such as the Roman scholar Livy and Heroditus who recorded such practices in northern Italy (www.history.org). Other sources record sightings of the “cup” as late as 1930 and describe it as being inscribed with the words “deth to Spotwoode.” Spotswood was the Royal Governor of Virginia at the time of Blackbeards capture. The location of the cup is unknown today. It is unlikely that such an object would be lost or misplaced. Could the skull be one of the items in the mythical “Bacon’s Vault” hidden somewhere in Williamsburg? Could it be in the tomb of Skull and Bones at Yale? Another interesting scenario might involve an organization similar to Skull and Bones at William and Mary that are caretakers of the cup. It is unknown if the Flat Hat Club is still in existence at William and Mary.

The veneration of skulls is one of the things Knights Templar have been accused of in the past. During the “Templar Inquisition” of the early fourteenth centrury they were accused of worshiping the head of John the Baptist. The deaths head cult also has a connection with the cult of the Green Man in the British Isles. German Masonic death head’s cults have been part of history from the Crusades, Nazi S.S. death’s head division to the Skull and Bones organization of Yale University. Drinking from a human skull is also rumored to be a rite of an advanced degree of Freemasonry. Many of the rites practiced at Bohemian Grove and other places echo those of the death’s head cults.

Williamsburg and Jamestown are very near the even 37th parallel. Nearby Hampton to the southeast sits exactly on the 37th. Williamsburg is aligned with the City of Baltimore on a north to south axis. If a line is vectored south from the western city limit of Baltimore it vectors directly to Williamsburg and very near Jamestown. This relationship is notable from a practical and geomantic perspective. The western city limit of Baltimore is directly north of Wren Hall on the campus of William and Mary. This orientation would have been an easy one given only a magnetic compass. This is important in light of the fact that this line could have served as a north to south baseline for mapping and land divisions early in the history of the Colonies. It would have been especially applicable to the Tidewater region of Virginia and Maryland.

Lord Baltimore (Calvert) played a large role in the establishment of the Mason Dixon line and many other aspects of colonial culture. Baltimore is famous for its mid-nineteenth century Druid Hill Park. Williamsburg was established prior to Baltimore so it follows that Baltimore may have been established in part due to its proximity to Williamsburg. This arrangement does symbolically and practically link the two settlements together. This arrangement was established long before Thomas Jefferson or George Washington were born proving that this practice has been in north America since at least the beginning of English occupation if not Spanish occupation further south.

The orientation of the geomantic array in Williamsburg is very interesting from the perspective of these arrays use as sighting devices. The direction these types of linear arrays point or vector to establish a talismanic relationship to the target or whatever is on the line. To the east the linear array vectors out into the Atlantic Ocean. This may be symbolic of the Baconian value of the Lost Continent of Atlantis. If the a line is extended at the angle of the array extended west it passes Nashville about ten miles north of the Bicentenial Mall, and continues to the vicinity of El Paso, Texas.

If the Nashville area was the true target of the array was this somehow linked to Bacon's vision for the layout of the New Atlantis? Was that area designted as subsequent construction of the the mall in Nashville so many years after the original one in Williamsburg was built indicates some unknown significance of the area where Nashville is located. It is possible the city was settled on the line intentionally. There is evidence that the groups of people who value these arrays beyond the aesthetic are adhering to some long ago drawn out plan that they simply will not deviate from.

Williamsburg is a very special place and one can almost feel the history oozing out of the earth there. Archaeologists say that you can’t drop a shovel within twenty miles of town without finding something. This mantic feeling or effect has not been lost on others and great effort has been made to restore and improve Colonial Williamsburg. Many visitors believe that when they visit Colonial Williamsburg they are visiting an historical array of buildings that were reconstructed and arrayed as they originally were. While to some degree this may be true many of the buildings are full reproductions and the array does resemble many other plazas of the same type found around the world through time.

Visitors to Colonial Williamsburg are actually visiting a plaza or array very similar to that of the National Mall, Bicentenial mall and the International Peace Garden. Many major cities and even several smaller towns have this type of occult or Gnostic oriented layout. This park was tuned for effect by a geomancer and was built in conjunction with the already existing geomantic layout of William and Mary.

Williamsburg is the first of a nationwide system of similar monuments dreamed of by Bacon and continued by Thomas Jefferson and supplemented by others as time went on. The original plan of William and Mary includes the delineation of a flat topped pyramid with Wren Hall at the top. The slanting sides of the pyramid are formed by the approaching streets. The layout of Williamsburg and all of the associated Rosicrucian and Masonic symbolism indicate that Jefferson may have been carrying out a plan set into motion by Sir Francis Bacon.

Another compelling theory as to why the restoration took place revolves around the location of a supposed vault of information and wisdom left in Williamsburg by Sir Francis Bacon himself beneath what is now Bruton Parish Church. Rumors about the location and existence of the vault are supported by local lore and historical documents including letters written by those who saw the tunnels and vault entrance. Local legend states that Thomas Jefferson, F.D.R. or Rockefeller were the last people to view the contents of the vault. It is possible that among any artifacts remaining in the vault is a plan for the development and location of cities in towns in the new colony including their locations on a pre-established stellar inspired grid. As those interested in gnostic wisdom and possibly Masons both Jefferson and F.D.R. would have had huge interest in making Bacon’s vision a reality.

The Rockefeller foundation was the largest influence and contributor to the “restoration” of Colonial Williamsburg. The restoration of Williamsburg (1932) was undertaken in the same era of construction of the International Peace Garden and Hoover Dam and its star chart memorial. This is also the time during which the one dollar bill received its illuminist design and the final spike was driven into the heart of the Federal Reserve as it existed previously.

This era seems to have been important in the Masonic world and may have been thought of as the beginning of the “Ordo Novus Seclorum” or New World Order. In this case the “order” being translated in the literal as in the planning of the locations of cities and towns in advance and beyond the dynamics of any natural or equitable civic evolution. If this plan was known only to adherents of the belief that kept it a secret it would have comprised a huge advantage in many different social and economic spheres. It is possible that this vision is what motivated Jefferson in planning the future location of the city of Indianapolis and other locations as more western territory was obtained. One need to look no further into the obvious pre-planning of cities and towns than on the latitude of the Mason Dixon line.. Several cities and towns including Indianapolis and Denver seem to have been intentionally placed and planned to be located in position along the line.

It is not clear if Williamsburg was restored to the way it actually was. Prior to its restoration some elements of the array had been altered through the normal course of civic evolution. It seems logical that the restoration was to set things back to the way they were designed originally including the plaza composed of in part of the campus of William and Mary, Bruton Parish Church and the Colonial Capitol building.

Interesting that the original archaeological deposit had this built atop it granted after hundreds of years of normal use. It is not clear if this array was being restored to the way it was originally or which elements may have been changed. The design does fit with the status of a capitol and the relation of the capitol building to the campus makes the linear design a logical progression. This design may represent the earliest array of its kind in North America.
